Main responsibilities
Steven is responsible for developing and implementing key asset strategies that are aligned with Aviva Investors’ fund management strengths and their client needs. Steven manages the Global Product Team which consists of investment directors, product owners, developers and managers who are located across the globe. Steven is a member of the Aviva Investors Executive Committee, is a member of the GCS (Global Client Solutions) leadership team, chairs the product innovation group, the feasibility group and participates in the Client and Product Committee.
Experience and qualifications
Steven has extensive industry experience, having been an investment consultant for 15 years and prior to that an equity fund manager. He joined Aviva Investors after spending 10 years at Mercer, where he managed portfolios for key clients and most recently held the position of UK Chief Investment Officer. Prior to joining Aviva Investors Steven worked for Mercer, Aon, Merrill Lynch Investment Managers as well as Edinburgh Fund Managers, now Aberdeen Standard, and Scottish Life Assurance Company. Steven has a BSc in Civil Engineering, a diploma in Investment Analysis and an MBA. He has the IMC and CFA designations.
