Aviva Investors names Tom Meyers Head of Americas Client Solutions

(London, UK, Chicago, IL, and Toronto, ON) – Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva plc (‘Aviva’), today announces the appointment of Tom Meyers as Executive Director, Head of Americas Client Solutions, effective September 12, 2017*.

In this role Tom will have overall responsibility for leading the institutional client solutions business and overseeing sub-advisor relationships in the Americas. He will also have local oversight responsibility for the client solutions team. Based in Chicago, he will have dual reporting lines to Mike Craston, Chief Executive Officer, Aviva Investors Americas, and Louise Kay, Global Head of Client Solutions.

Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Tom was Managing Senior Investment Director at Legal and General Investment Management America, where he led the UK firm’s expansion into the U.S. market, raising more than $80 billion in assets over six years and achieving buy ratings from nearly 40 consulting firms.

He will leverage his experience and expertise to accelerate Aviva Investors’ growth in the region, particularly through its strong sub-advisory relationships and increasing demand from major consultants and large pension plans for its outcome-oriented portfolio offerings.

Aviva Investors continues to expand assets under management globally with £351 billion ($456 billion USD) in assets as of June 30, 2017, representing 10% year-on-year growth from £318 billion ($422 billion USD) in the year prior. Assets in the Americas region also continue to expand, with 18% year-on-year growth to $15.22 billion USD as of June 30, 2017, up from $12.83 billion USD the prior year.

Tom graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University with a dual bachelor’s degree in Organizational Behavior and Management and Psychology. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago.
