Main responsibilities

Tom is responsible for a significant proportion of Aviva Investors’ Real Estate AUM as named Fund Manager for the AIPL Property Fund and the With Profits book of Aviva UK Life & Pensions. He has overall responsibility for the development and execution of investment strategy, deal origination and transaction management, delivery of value enhancement through asset and development management, and investor relations. Tom is also heavily involved in new product development and chairs the ESG programme delivery group.

Experience and qualifications

Tom was previously Fund Manager on a segregated UK & European real estate mandate. Prior to this he was Head of UK Real Estate Research and played a key role in the development of Aviva Investors’ investment philosophy and strategy, providing challenge and leadership on investment decision-making and direct and indirect portfolio construction.

Tom joined Aviva Investors from PMA where he specialised in analysing real estate within the context of the global capital markets. He has a degree in Modern Languages & Business from the University of Nottingham, and an MSc in Real Estate Investment & Finance from the University of Reading. Tom holds the IMC and is a member of the Investment Property Forum.
