Aviva Investors makes appointment to REaLM Ground Rent Fund

(London) – Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva plc (‘Aviva’), has announced the appointment of Carl Williams as Deputy Fund Manager on its Returns Enhancing and Liability Matching (REaLM) Ground Rent Fund.

Carl joins Aviva Investors after four years at Student Cribs, a specialist student housing fund and portfolio management company, where he was a Board Director. Before this, he worked as a Director at Touchstone, a leading residential property and asset management business. Carl also has prior experience at Aviva Investors, where he worked as a fund manager within its Real Estate business in the UK and in Europe between 2006 and 2009, with a focus on alternative assets including student and residential properties.

Neil Gardiner, Fund Manager, REaLM Ground Rent Fund at Aviva Investors, commented:

“With a great deal of experience spread across both residential and commercial assets, we are delighted to welcome Carl to the REaLM team at what we believe is an exciting growth phase, both for the Fund and wider sector.”

The Aviva Investors REaLM Ground Rent Fund is part of a range launched by Aviva Investors in 2011, covering investments in commercial assets, ground rents and social housing. The funds seek to reduce market risk by targeting long-term, inflation-linked leases, typically over 25 years in length, across the full breadth of market sectors.
