Striving towards a green treasury: Integrating ESG into cash and liquidity management

In partnership with The Global Treasurer, we surveyed leading industry figures from a variety of organisations and geographies to understand the role ESG plays in their approaches to liquidity management.

The pandemic pushed environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into the background for most corporate treasurers.

They are, however, firmly back on the agenda as companies return their attention to achieving sustainable outcomes.

To gain further insights, we partnered with The Global Treasurer for this report on liquidity management and ESG.

The analysis in this report was driven by responses to a global survey of corporate treasurers conducted between November 2021 and January 2022, which sheds light on their progress towards achieving ESG objectives in their cash and liquidity management strategies, as well as their future goals.

Given the growing focus on climate change, it is perhaps not surprising that approximately 90 per cent of respondents believe it is important for asset managers to partner with them to help set net-zero ambitions.
