Ewan Macaulay

Ewan leads the Private Debt team within our Investment Specialist function. Ewan and his team are private debt experts, with a focus on Aviva Investors’ four key private credit strategies: Real Estate Debt, Infrastructure Debt, Structured Finance, and Private Corporate Debt. They support the investment and distribution teams by providing specialist private debt input and are integral in developing new private debt strategies and solutions in conjunction with the investment and distribution teams, as well as ensuring our existing funds and products are best in class.

Ewan joined Aviva Investors in 2022. He began his career in 2004 as a credit analyst at Fitch Ratings, where he worked as a director focusing on corporate credit ratings across EMEA. Ewan went on to join MetLife Investment Management where he held various roles, including a managing director role where he headed-up the EMEA Private Placement origination desk, and a senior portfolio manager role where he was responsible for client portfolios spanning Corporate Private Placements & Infrastructure Debt.

Ewan holds a Master of Science in International Financial Markets from the University of Southampton and a Master of Arts in Business Studies from the University of Edinburgh.
