Helen Driver
Head of Global Equities
Joined Aviva Investors in 2016
Main responsibilities
Helen is responsible for managing the Global Equity component of the AIMS Target Income fund.
Experience and qualifications
Helen joined Aviva at the start of 2016 from LGIM, where she worked as part of the Global Equity team. In 2012, Helen joined the London office of Standard Life Investments as an Investment Director, supporting clients invested in the group’s GARS, Property & Equity funds. Between 2000-2012, Helen worked as a UK Equity Fund Manager with Standard Life Investments in Edinburgh, combining both analyst responsibilities for UK recommendations, as well as managing the Flagship Core UK Equity fund, and segregated UK Equity funds for the GARS fund, and external clients including corporates, Local Authorities and charities. Helen started her career with HSBC Asset Management in London, following graduation from Loughborough University. Helen is a CFA® charterholder.
Michael Grady
Senior Economist & Strategist
Joined Aviva Investors in 2015
Main responsibilities
Michael is responsible for monitoring and analysing macroeconomic data, markets and policy developments across a range of countries. His analysis forms a key input into the investment process across the business. Alongside that, he takes a leading role in investment strategy for our AIMS range of funds.
Experience and qualifications
Prior to joining Aviva Investors in 2015, Michael was Senior Economist at COMAC Capital Llp, a global-macro hedge fund, where he was responsible for the fundamental analysis used to inform the investment process. That followed a decade at the Bank of England, in a variety of roles. He began his career at the Australian Treasury.
Stewart Robertson
Senior Economist (UK and Europe)
Joined Aviva Investors in 2005
Main responsibilities
As part of the Strategy Team, he is responsible for economic research and analysis of the UK and main European markets.
Experience and qualifications
Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Stewart worked for Lombard Street Research, where he specialised as a UK economist. He also held positions at Coopers & Lybrand and Unilever plc. Stewart began his career as an economist in 1987, before joining financial markets in 1993.
Stewart holds a BA (Hons) in economics from Liverpool University and an MSc in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Mary Nicola
Investment Strategist and Senior Economist (Asia)
Joined Aviva Investors in 2013
Main responsibilities
Mary is an Investment Strategist and Senior Economist covering Asia for Aviva Investors and is also a member of the Multi-Asset Strategy team.
Experience and qualifications
Mary spent most of her career prior to Aviva Investors on the sell side. She started her career in the industry as an economist covering the MENA region with Standard Chartered Bank in Dubai, before moving to SCB Hong Kong to cover Northeast Asia as an FX strategist. In July 2010, Mary moved to New York with BNP Paribas to take up a role as an FX strategist covering G10 markets.
Mary holds a BA in Political Science and Economics from Rutgers University and a Masters of International Affairs with a focus on International Economic Policy from the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University.
Kevin Gaydos
Senior Securities Analyst
Joined Aviva Investors in 2008
Main responsibilities
Kevin is responsible for providing research and recommendations for basic industries. His primary sectors of coverage include the metals and mining, chemicals, paper and packaging industries.
Experience and qualifications
Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Kevin was a leveraged loan and private placement credit research analyst with Principal Global Investors.
Kevin earned his Bachelor’s and MBA degrees in Finance and Investments from the University of Notre Dame. He holds the CFA® designation and is a member of both the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago.
Trevor Leydon
Head of Portfolio Construction and Risk, Multi-asset
Joined Aviva Investors in 2013
Main responsibilities
Trevor oversees our investment risk and portfolio construction for multi-asset strategies, providing overarching quantitative discipline to the portfolio management process. This includes monitoring and providing risk parameters for individual portfolios and top level reporting to senior management.
Experience and qualifications
Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Trevor was responsible for UK and Ireland risk control at UBS Global Asset Management. He joined the industry working for HSBC’s investment bank in risk before moving to Santander’s Global Banking and Market Risk team.
Trevor holds a Master’s in Accounting and Finance from the University of Ulster, having graduated from Dublin Business School. He is also a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants.
