Global Head of Sustainable Outcomes
Marte leads the ESG Investment Solution unit within the Global Responsible Investment team. She is responsible for Aviva Investors’ Sustainable Outcomes platform which delivers thematic research on impact issues including climate change, biodiversity, diversity and inequality and provides bespoke screening and engagement support for our growing sustainable fund range. She is also working with clients to help them design new ESG investment strategies that meet their investment preferences, be it through pooled funds or bespoke segregated mandates. The ESG Investment Solution unit provides customised ESG advice and embeds ESG as part of the investment solution design.
Experience and qualifications
Marte previously led sustainability campaigns for Aviva as Head of EU public policy where she was in charge of the company’s public policy work in Brussels on sustainable finance, financial reform and Brexit. She joined Aviva from the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) where she was Head of Financial Services and Corporate Governance. Before this she led sustainable finance campaigns in Brussels at the EU public affairs consultancy The Brussels Office and the Mission of Norway to the EU. Marte is an advisor to Rosa UK, a charity that funds grassroots women’s organisations to help to make the UK a fairer, safer place for women and an advisor to the social accelerator Bethnal Green Ventures. Marte holds an MSc in European Political Economy from the London School of Economics.
