Main responsibilities

Susan is responsible for leading the Business Management Group focussed on our non-investment teams. This covers Global Client Solutions, Operations, Technology, People and Legal Functions. In effect, Susan is directly responsible for ensuring Aviva Investors has an operating model that efficiently and effectively enables the delivery of its fund management and solutions expertise to the benefit of both clients and shareholders. This covers all geographies and all asset types.

Experience and qualifications

Susan has over 30 years of broad experience within the financial services industry, both asset management and asset servicing and always about effective operating models and driving change.

Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Susan held the role of Chief Compliance Officer for Westpac Banking Corporation in Sydney, Australia, very much focused on controls and governance. Before this, she was Global Head of Fund Services for JPMorgan, based in London. She held the P&L responsibility for all aspects of service delivery to a global client base of asset managers covering the full range of asset types. She has extensive experience of driving change, especially focussed on the creation of efficient and effective operating models to support and drive business development and control frameworks to protect clients’ assets.

Earlier in her career Susan has run her own business and worked at other investment servicing banks and asset managers; accumulating experience about what works and what does not.
