Il existe deux façons d’examiner le changement climatique et ses implications en matière d’investissement. Les entreprises, et les actifs comme l’immobilier, font partie de la solution ou devront s’adapter. 

Les investisseurs sont confrontés à un dilemme connexe : « Devriez-vous simplement essayer de réduire les émissions de votre portefeuille ou devenir un élément significatif de la solution au changement climatique ? »

En réalité, nous ne pouvons pas passer à un monde à faible émission de carbone si nous nous contentons d’exclure les entreprises peu performantes et d’investir uniquement dans celles qui apportent des solutions au changement climatique.

Toutes les entreprises doivent s’adapter à un monde plus chaud et moins pollué. Cela crée des opportunités de diversification, ainsi que la possibilité d’optimiser l’impact positif. 

Grâce à notre approche de la transition climatique, nous cherchons également activement à favoriser le changement en incitant les entreprises à réduire leurs émissions de carbone sur l’ensemble de leur chaîne de valeur, ce qui peut avoir un effet multiplicateur sur la réduction des émissions mondiales.

Nous pensons  que la crise climatique entraînera sans aucun doute des opportunités d’investissement intéressantes (actions, obligations et actifs réels) qui s’alignent sur une trajectoire à faible émission de carbone. La bonne nouvelle, c’est que les investisseurs peuvent y accéder tout en ayant une plus grande influence sur la transition climatique.
