Alain joined the Aviva Group in September 2007. Between 2001 and 2007 he was Global Head of Group Investment Businesses at HSBC. Before that he worked at Credit Commercial de France (CCF) where he was Senior Executive Vice President, a member of the Executive Committee and Head of asset management and insurance. He developed a multi-boutique structure and founded Sinopia; CCF was bought by HSBC in 2000.
Alain’s career includes positions at La Compagnie Financiere Edmond de Rothschild, Paris, as Director of Capital Markets, at the French Treasury in the Ministry of Finance and at the French Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies.
He has been educated at the Ecole Polytechnique, Paris and Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique.
