Main responsibilities
Richard leads on Stewardship within the Public Markets ESG team, including proxy voting and engagement activities.
Experience and qualifications
Richard joined Aviva Investors as part of a graduate scheme and previously worked in the Finance Team before joining the Sustainable Investing Team. Since then, Richard has worked in a variety of ESG roles covering research, product, and integration responsibilities. This includes being an ESG fund analyst for the Aviva Investors Stewardship Funds (an ethical fund range), a Senior ESG Analyst responsible for covering the financial sector, and then leading the ESG Credit Team. Before Aviva Investors, Richard worked for a renewable energy provider and volunteered in a government funded international development programme.
Richard holds a BSc in International Management from Manchester University. Richard is also a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA, CGMA) and holds the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.
