James Edwards

James leads the development of Aviva Investors’ institutional strategy across the UK, aligning regional initiatives with the firm’s global growth objectives. 

James joined Aviva Investors from Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where he was responsible for business development across UK Corporate Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension schemes.

Prior to that, he spent a decade at BlackRock, managing relationships with large Defined Benefit pension funds, with a particular focus on Liability-Driven Investment and Credit strategies. During his tenure, he also served for three years as a Fixed Income Product Specialist, supporting clients across EMEA and APAC with expertise in Unconstrained Fixed Income and Investment Grade Credit.

James is a fluent French speaker and a CFA charterholder.
