Main responsibilities
Jess leads the Sustainability Strategy team in the Aviva Investors Sustainable Investing Function under Chief Sustainable Investing Officer, Mirza Baig. She has responsibilities across institutional sustainability strategy, positioning and commercialisation as well as in governance and Risks and Controls in the Sustainable Investing function.
Experience and qualifications
Jess first joined Aviva Investors in 2021 to work on macro-stewardship, seeking to support the transition to a more sustainable future through policy engagement and market reform. Prior to joining Aviva Investors, she led sustainability and responsible investment as a policy area at the Investment Association, where she represented the views of the investment management industry to advocate for policy change and support the development of industry standards and best practice.
Jess has an undergraduate degree from the University of Cambridge in Modern and Medieval Languages and a Masters’ degree from Kings College London in Intelligence and International Security.
