(London) – Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva plc, announces it has appointed Pat Chiefalo as Head of Product Development & Management in the Americas.
The new fund is the latest addition to Aviva Investors’ fixed income range, following on from the recent expansion of the firm’s offering that saw the launch of three new strategies: Global Hybrid Bond, Senior ABS Income, Global Unconstrained Credit.
In the newly-created role, Pat will be responsible for leading Aviva Investors’ product development and product management activities across the Americas region. Reporting to Celeste Dias Brennan, Global Head of Product at Aviva Investors, he sits as part of the Global Product Leadership Team and is a member of Americas Leadership Team, overseen by Duane Green, CEO, Americas, at Aviva Investors.
Pat has more than 25 years of experience across product strategy and product development, and joins Aviva Investors from Invesco where he was most recently Head of Product, Canada, responsible for developing the firm’s Canadian product strategy across both public and private markets. Pat previously led Invesco Canada's ETF and Index business, and has held several senior positions at BlackRock, including Head of iShares Canada and Head of iShares Product Canada.
The dedicated product development and management function in the Americas comes as Aviva Investors continues to build a dedicated resource for investors in the Americas, through a range of funds to the market tailored to the needs of institutional investors in the region and supporting their long-term investment objectives. In May, it announced the launch of a short-term private credit fund specifically for institutional investors in Canada, designed to provide access to investment opportunities across the UK and Europe, as well as the US and Canada, alongside the creation of a pooled fund giving institutional investors and wealth management firms in Canada with access to Aviva Investors’ flagship Global Equity Income strategy.
