Main responsibilities
Callum’s primary responsibilities encompass the development and expansion of the firm’s private markets equity franchise. His principal mandate is to scale Aviva Investors’ private markets equity capabilities and to cultivate strategic partnerships with investors for both bespoke mandates and pooled vehicles across Real Estate Equity, Infrastructure Equity, Natural Capital, and Venture & Strategic Capital.
The team is additionally accountable for collaborating with client, investment, and product functions to design and advance innovative investment strategies and solutions, while ensuring that the firm’s existing offerings continue to uphold the highest standards of market excellence.
Experience and qualifications
Callum brings extensive experience in capital raising and structuring across real estate and broader private markets strategies. Most recently, he served for over five years as a Senior Director at Barings within the European Real Estate Client Portfolio Management team, where he held responsibility for product development and fundraising. Prior to this, he worked at L&G Asset Management within the Real Assets Solutions team in a similar capacity, and earlier in his career held roles at M&G and at Cambridge Associates.
Callum holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Newcastle University and a Master of Arts in the International Relations of the Middle East from the University of Exeter.
