Duane Green

Duane is Chief Executive Officer, Americas at Aviva Investors, appointed to lead the firm’s Americas region, comprising North America, Latin America, and offshore insurance markets. He is responsible for regional strategy, distribution, governance, and P&L across institutional, insurance, and wealth channels, spanning public and private markets, including U.S. offshore and international insurance jurisdictions.

Working closely with global colleagues, Duane focuses on building high-performing teams, strengthening client partnerships, and positioning Aviva Investors for sustainable, long-term growth across the Americas. He is a member of the firm’s global leadership team. 

Duane has a distinguished career, spanning over three decades, in global asset management and financial services. He brings deep experience across institutional asset management, wealth management, and corporate strategy, with a proven track record of leading complex organizations, driving business transformation, and delivering sustainable growth.

Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Duane was President & Chief Executive Officer of Franklin Templeton Canada and Chair of Fiduciary Trust Canada. During his tenure, he strengthened client relationships, expanded the firm’s market presence, and led initiatives that supported sustained business growth and enhanced the firm’s competitive positioning.

He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Ottawa, is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), and holds the CIM and FMA designations. Duane has completed the International Directors Programme (IDP-C) in Corporate Governance at INSEAD in France.
