Biography
Main responsibilities
George sits on the Real Estate SLT responsible for European and leveraged funds. Based in Aviva Investors’ Paris office, the team there reports to him and he has direct responsibility for the European origination, transaction and asset management lines.
Experience and qualifications
George has over ten years’ experience in various positions in the real estate sector, having worked in investment, asset management and fund management across the UK and continental Europe.
On joining Aviva Investors in 2019, he ran the European transaction team before moving into fund management. With the sale of Aviva France in 2021 he has set up the European Real Estate Equity team based in Paris, restructuring it to align functions suitable to deliver performance and growth.
Prior to joining, he was a European Portfolio Manager at Exeter Property Group based in Amsterdam where he implemented a real estate strategy across Europe. Prior to this he worked at Standard Life Investments and was responsible for acquisition, development, asset management and disposals across all asset types, before becoming Fund Manager at Aberdeen Standard Investments. George holds a BSc in Classical and Ancient Studies and a Master’s Degree in Real Estate from the University of Reading. He is also a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
