Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva plc, has announced the launch of the Aviva Investors USD ReturnPlus Fund (“Fund”).
The launch of the Fund expands the firm’s liquidity range, having managed liquidity solutions for over 20 years and aims to build on the success of the existing offering. The new Fund complements the Aviva Investors’ ReturnPlus GBP and EUR strategies1, which were launched in 2020, and have grown to a combined AUM of circa USD 7.7bn2.
Designed for professional, institutional and insurance clients, the Fund is for investors looking for global fixed income exposure, with the strategy aiming to achieve higher returns than cash and money market instruments but without incurring the same level of volatility as typical corporate credit strategies.
The Fund will invest in selected fixed income securities from a low risk, short-dated bond universe across developed market currencies and focuses on delivering an attractive risk/return profile while maintaining high levels of liquidity. The Fund aims to achieve a 0.75% per annum gross return above the Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR) over a three-year rolling period, regardless of market conditions. SOFR was 4.33% as of 14 July 2025.
The Fund is managed by co-leads Todd Cutting, Head of Enhanced Liquidity and Alex Ieri, Portfolio Manager at Aviva Investors.
Iain Forrester, Head of Fixed Income Solutions at Aviva Investors said:
“We are delighted to announce the expansion of our range of ReturnPlus strategies with the launch of the Aviva Investors USD ReturnPlus Fund. The launch complements and builds on the success of the existing range and Aviva Investors’ decades of experience managing liquidity strategies.”
Denis Resovac, Head of Insurance Solutions Sales for the Asia Pacific at Aviva Investors added:
“Aviva Investors’ ReturnPlus meets the needs for those investors seeking higher returns on their liquid assets without materially extending credit or duration risk. For insurance investors this combination of characteristics offers significant potential benefits because it makes the fund solvency capital efficient under Asian risk-based capital frameworks.”
The launch also comes as Aviva Investors continues to build out its Fixed Income capabilities, including the development of proprietary tools such as OptiFI, which use AI and data-driven insights to support portfolio modelling and construction.
The Aviva Investors USD Return Plus Fund is registered in Singapore as a Restricted Scheme and only available to accredited investors and professional investors in Singapore 3.
