James Southern

James leads growth initiatives across the UK wealth business, managing and expanding key relationships with UK based discretionary wealth managers, private banks, and family offices. 

James joined Aviva Investors in December 2025 from UBS Asset Management, where he served as Head of Financial Institutions, UK Wholesale, for more than seven years. He brings a vast breadth of industry experience, having held senior sales roles at Mirabaud, Sanlam FOUR, Allianz Global Investors, Legg Mason Investments, and Fidelity.

James holds a BA (Hons) in Hospitality Business Management from Leeds Beckett University.
