Taahira Hussain

Taahira is a Senior Strategist within the Insurance Solutions team, responsible for developing capital efficient investment strategies for insurers across public and private markets. Her work focuses on capital optimisation, ALM aligned portfolio design and supporting strategic asset allocation decisions across multiple regulatory regimes. 

Before joining Aviva Investors, Taahira spent her career in senior roles at Resolution Life and Vitality Life, working across investment strategy, capital management, ALM, reinsurance pricing and M&A. She has a strong background in designing capital efficient asset and reinsurance structures, supporting strategic asset allocation, and navigating solvency and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions. Her focus has been on translating insurers’ balance sheet objectives into clear, effective strategies that deliver resilient long-term outcomes.

Taahira holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA).
