Main responsibilities
Michael McGill is Co-Head of EMD and Senior Portfolio Manager. Michael is responsible for Emerging Market Hard Currency and Local Currency Sovereign strategies.
Experience and qualifications
Michael began his career in investment industry with Bluebay Asset Management in 2007, initially working as a repo trader. Later on he became an emerging markets trader focusing on emerging market debt and a broad range of derivative products. He joined Aviva Investors in 2013 working as our dedicated EMD trader before switching to a portfolio management role in April 2015.
Michael holds a bachelors degree in economics from Texas State University.
