(London) – Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva plc, announces it has further strengthened its presence and resource for clients in the Americas region with two senior hires, appointing Julie Caron as Head of Institutional, Americas, and Dean Liotta as Managing Director, Institutional, Americas.
The two newly created roles follow the appointment of Duane Green as Head of Americas in February this year, as Aviva Investors continues to expand its capabilities in the region.
Based in Toronto and reporting to Duane Green, Julie and Dean will be responsible for continuing Aviva Investors’ growth across the Americas market, enhancing its understanding of the market landscape and investor needs in the region and deepening existing relationships.
Julie Caron joins Aviva Investors from Franklin Templeton Investments, where she was responsible for business development in the Canadian market. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton Investments, Julie spent 11 years with a leading Canadian insurer, where she was involved in pension fund investments and monitoring. Julie has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. She holds a bachelor's degree in administration-finance and international management from Laval University and Ecole Superieure de Commerce in Grenoble, France. Julie is also Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
Dean Liotta has more than 25 years of experience in the investment industry. In his previous role, Dean was senior vice president for consultant relations, responsible for positioning institutional investment capabilities with global and regional investment consultants across Canada covering fixed income, equities, investment solutions and alternatives strategies. Dean was also responsible for managing and developing institutional client relationships. Dean holds a degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, an Honors degree in Commerce from the University of Windsor and is a CFA charterholder.
