Fund overview

Objective: To grow your investment through a combination of income and capital growth, and provide an average annual net return greater than the MSCI® All Country World Index over a rolling 5-year period by investing in shares of global companies. Within this combined return, the Fund aims to deliver an income equivalent of at least 125% of the income return of the Index, over any given 12-month period.

Investments: At least 80% of the Fund is invested in shares of global companies. “Global companies” means investment in any country across the globe, including with up to 20% of the Fund invested in emerging markets. The Fund may also invest in other shares, other funds, cash and deposits. The Fund may use derivatives for efficient portfolio management or reducing risk.

 

Strategy: The Fund is actively managed and the Investment Manager assembles a high-conviction portfolio of companies of any size and stage of development that appear to offer strong earnings growth or dividend prospects.

Biography

Richard is the co-portfolio manager of the Global Equity Income and Global Equity Endurance Strategies and has analyst coverage of the Healthcare sector. Richard joined Aviva Investors in 2006 and has been managing a range of global portfolios since 2009. Before joining Aviva Investors, Richard worked for Punter Southall & Co in an actuarial internship role. Richard holds a Masters in Chemistry from the University of Oxford. He also holds the UKSIP Investment Management Certificate. Richard managed the portfolio from the start date indicated until August 2024, before a brief period away from the business. He resumed management of the Fund on 27 May 2025.

Biography

Ed is the co-portfolio manager of the Aviva Investors Sustainable Stewardship International Equity strategy, Aviva Investors Global Equity Core Strategy and interim co-portfolio manager on the Aviva Investors Global Equity Income Strategy. Ed also has analyst sector coverage within the Global Consumer sector hub. Ed has been responsible for the management of various European equity strategies after being promoted to portfolio manager in 2015. He was appointed co-portfolio manager of the Aviva Investors Climate Transition European Equity strategy in September 2021. Ed was initially hired as a support services equity analyst for the European and UK Equity team in 2013. Ed began his career with Lloyds Banking Group, initially joining the Business Specialist Scheme with various roles in corporate lending, strategy and risk management in the Wholesale Banking division, and then moving to the Business Support Unit Investments team, initially in the Portfolio team but later moving to a combined transaction and portfolio role. Ed holds a BA (Hons) in Finance Accounting and Management from the University of Nottingham, and an Applied Diploma in Corporate Banking. He is a CFA® charterholder and passed the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing in July 2021.
