P = Statutory public holiday. If it falls on a weekend, the employer must grant a compensatory day off within three months.
B = Bank holiday according to Article 19.3.A.b) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Bank Employees. These are not compensated when falling on a weekend.
(*) Europe Day (9 May), Assumption (15 August), All Saints’ Day (1 November) and St Stephen’s Day (26 December) fall on a Saturday or Sunday.
In accordance with Article L. 232-3 and Art. L. 232-6(2) of the Labour Code, employees are entitled to a compensatory day off:
If the holiday falls on a Sunday, or if it coincides with a working day on which the employee would not have worked according to their contract (e.g., a Saturday).
