Jess McCreadie

Jess leads investment activity across technology and health, focusing on originating, assessing and executing new opportunities, while supporting portfolio companies through scaling and growth.

She has a particular emphasis on the application of artificial intelligence within investment management and is driving the team’s development of an AI-first approach to investing and portfolio management. 

Jess is passionate about investing in and building high-growth companies that deliver positive outcomes for people and the planet. She holds a degree in International Business from the University of Strathclyde and Arizona State University and began her career in energy and infrastructure investment banking.

She later joined the founding team of the principal investment team at Legal & General, deploying shareholder funds across impact-driven strategies spanning energy, real estate and venture capital.

Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Jess was an Investment Director at Northern Gritstone, a deep tech and life sciences fund. Before this, she was a Principal at Octopus Ventures, one of the UK’s most active venture capital firms, where she focused on investing in and scaling category-defining health tech companies.
