Risks
Derivatives risk
Derivatives are instruments that can be complex and highly volatile, have some degree of unpredictability (especially in unusual market conditions), and can create losses significantly greater than the cost of the derivative itself.
Equities Risk
Equities can lose value rapidly, can remain at low prices indefinitely, and generally involve higher risks — especially market risk — than bonds or money market instruments. Bankruptcy or other financial restructuring can cause the issuer's equities to lose most or all of their value.
Single Market
Where a Fund focuses investments in a single country, region or currency, the Sub-Fund will have greater exposure to the market, political, economic, and currency risks of that country than if it was more diversified across a number of countries, regions or currencies.
Index-Related Risk
Index providers do not generally provide any warranty or accept any liability in relation to the quality, accuracy or completeness of data in respect of their benchmark indices, nor provide any guarantee that the published indices will be in line with their described benchmark index methodologies. Errors in respect of the quality, accuracy and completeness of the data may occur from time to time and may not be identified and corrected for a period of time. Such a scenario may impact the Fund's objective to deliver returns similar to that of the benchmark.
Benchmark Indices risk
The constituents of a Sub-Fund’s benchmark Index may change over time. There is no assurance that the Fund’s benchmark Index will continue to be calculated and published on the basis described in the Prospectus or that it will not be amended significantly. The past performance of each benchmark Index is not a guide to future performance.
Tracking Error risk
The Fund aims to deliver returns which are similar to that of the benchmark. Tracking Error risk is the risk that the Sub-Fund’s returns will not be similar to that of the benchmark Index from time to time.
Standard risk
This indicator is based on historical data, calculated using European Union rules, and may not be a reliable indication of the future risk profile of the Fund. The risk and reward category shown is not guaranteed to remain unchanged and may change over time. The lowest category does not mean 'risk free'. The value of investments and the income from them will change over time. The Fund price may fall as well as rise and as a result you may not get back the original amount you invested. The Fund has been allocated a risk number based on the historic volatility of its share price or where insufficient information is available appropriate asset classes. Full information on the risks applicable to the Fund is detailed in the Prospectus.
